68th National Wildlife Week

68th National Wildlife Week was celebrated at Nandankanan Zoological Park from 2nd October to 8th October, 2022. Nandankanan organized a series of events to mark this historic moment. On this occasion on line quiz and painting competition on different themes were organized throughout the week on Nandankanan website i.e. www.nandankanan.org. More than 500 participants were participated in this programme. All the participants will be given e-certificate for their participation. In morning citizen science programme like bird walk, butterfly and moth walk, tree walk, herping and nature trail was conducted with college and university students to aware them about the facts and knowledge about the wildlife. On the spot quiz for visitors were conducted where prizes were distributed to winners which is highly appreciated by the participants. Keepers talk programme was organized to aware the visitors about how keeper take care of their animal in daily routine. A signature campaign was organized to create awareness on importance of Wildlife conservation amongst the visitors. These awareness and outreach activities were shared over print, electronic and social media platform for wider circulation.More
