World Wildlife Day 2021

World Wildlife Day, was celebrated on 03rd March, 2021 in front of interpretation centre of Nandankanan Zoological Park. Dr Siba Prasad Parida, HOD, Dept. of Zoology, Centurion University, Bhubaneswar, was Guest OF Honour during the celebration. The programme was attended by the visitors, representatives of Print and Electronic Media and Staff of Nandankanan Zoological Park. The theme for this year 2021 was “Forests &Livelihood”.

An interactive quiz programme on this year theme was conducted amongst the visitors by Dr Siba Prasad Parida, HOD, Dept. of Zoology, Centurian University, Bhubaneswar, Sri A. K. Parida, ACF (VM), Sri BanamaliSahu, ACF (SBG), Dr R. K. Mohapatra, Biologist and Mr M. K. Panda, Education Officer, Nandankanan. Prizes were distributed amongst the winners of quiz programme, which was highly appreciated by the participants. Finally, a signature campaign was conducted to make the visitor aware about the importance of wetlands.
