Celebration of Van Mahotsav with plantation drive inside Arboretum of State Botanical Garden

Nandankanan Zoological Park, in collaboration with Nature & Wildlife Conservation Society of Odisha (NWCSO), celebrated “Van Mahotsav- 2024” programme at Arboretum of State Botanical Garden, Nandankanan on 6th July, 2024. The event was graced by the presence of eminent members of NWCSO, namely Dr AnupNayak, IFS (Rtd.), Sri Sisir Kumar Acharya, IFS (Rtd), Sri Manoj Mahapatra, IFS, (Rtd), Mr Michael Peter, Member, NWCSO and Sri Sushant Das, Joint Secretary, NWCSO. Other esteemed members present Dr. Manoj V. Nair, IFS, Director, Nandankanan, Sri Sanath Kumar N., IFS, Deputy Director, and Zoo officials, staff and Zoo Volunteers of Nandankanan. Around 130 nos of seedlings of 21 new species are planted in Arboretum.
