Tree. Leaves crowded at the ends of branches, obovate-oblong, acute, obtuse or shortly acuminate, glabrous. Flowers in thick racemiform inflorescences borne on main trunk and branches. Flowers fragrant, petals obovate, thick, fleshy, broadly rounded, pinkish. Fruit globose, large, 15-20 cm dia, with hard pericarp, woody. Planted in gardens, road sides and temple premises.
