The World Wetland Day 2025 was celebrated on 2nd February, 2025 at Conference hall of State Botanical Garden, Nandankanan. Dr Nabin Kumar Dhal, Chief Scientist & Head of Environment and Sustainability Department, Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology, Bhubaneswar was the Guest during the meeting. The celebration was attended by college & university students and staff of Nandankanan. The theme for this year 2025 was “Protecting wetlands for our common future”. An interactive quiz programme on “Wetlands” was conducted amongst the participants followed by Bird Walk, Wetland Trail, Nature journaling, Origami and an expert talk.
