Observation of World Environment Day 2024

Nandankanan Zoological Park observed World Environment Day on 5th June, 2024. The theme for this year was “Land Restoration, Desertification & Drought Resilience”. Nandankanan Zoological Park organized innovative workshop on “Seed ball preparation” and “Value addition of water weeds” at State Botanical Garden, Nandankanan in collaboration with District Legal Services Authority, Bhubaneswar and Sattvic Soul Foundation. In this workshop MrsSoudamini Singh, Secretary District Legal Services Authority, Bhubaneswar and Sri Pritish Kumar Nayak, Sattvic Soul Foundation Lead, Bhubaneswar demonstrated as resource person for preparation of seed balls and making value addition products from Water hyacinth. The programme was attended by Zoo officials, staff, Zoo volunteers, Zoo Interns and visitors.
