Chief Minister's Message

Nandankanan has contributd in a big way to ex-situ and in-situ conservation of Wildlife in the State. Nandankanan Zoological Park was established in December, 1960. The year 2010 is being celebrated as the Golden Jubilee year of Nandankanan Zoological park which coincides with the "International year of Biodiversity".

As a pioneer zoo in our country, it has the glory to be known for captive breeding of white tigers, crocodiles and wildlife research. Nandankanan has been successfully disseminating knowledge on wildlife conservation, awareness, education and research.

I am delighted to know that a souvenir is being published on the occasion of the Goldn Jubilee clebration of Nandankanan Zoological Park. I would like to convey my good wishes to all the staff and officers of Nandankanan Zoological Park and wish Nandankanan will be transformed into a world class zoo in the comin years and will continue to contribute significantly in the field of wildlife conservation and awareness.
